Unlined Leather Boots seem to be an endangered boot species nowadays. I have two pair of leather Irish Setter Trail Blazer boots that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE for the summer months; however, they have a waterproof lining that I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE! I am not in a wet environment every day (in fact, I am rarely around water during the summer months) but my feet sweat, day in and day out, while the lining absorbs it all like a sponge preventing my feet from 'breathing'. The reason I have two pair is so one pair can air out while I wear the other pair. I also had to purchase 'Boot Bananas' to keep the accumulating odor under control. Being fed up with the delirious situation, I decided to abandon 'Waterproof Lining' leather boots altogether and stick with unlined leather boots like my winter leather loggers (that I use cedar boot trees to keep fresh). Six inch style unlined leather boots are in short supply. Fortunately, I came across these bad boys (ON SALE!) on Duradero.com and pulled the trigger. These boots (size 12, EEE width) seemed a little on the larger side until I inserted my custom made orthotics making them fit great. These Gallatin boots are the first I purchased that seem to accommodate my custom made orthotics perfectly (shame they do not make them in an 8 inch height as well). These Duradero Gallatin boots are quality made leather boots. The soles seem cheesy for such a quality leather boot - not sure why they didn't put a rugged Vibram sole on the boot. Anyway, maybe the soles will wear well and if they don't, I'll return them for a re-sole. If they still wear out quickly, then I will take them to the local Shoe Tech to have them resoled with rugged Vibram soles (another $125 - so be it). Regardless - Enthusiastically Recommended!

I have more than a year on my last pair,... now I would like them resoled. What to do in the mean time. Buy another pair so I can get through. Yup,.. bought another pair of the same shoes. Have not done that in well over 20 years. Have tied them all. I am a custom home builder and do lots of historical work as well. These are the best work boots I have owned since Red Wing stopped making their own shoes. I have a new home. Not going anywhere. I'm sending the old ones in now to get resoled. Get some !

Again my 2nd pair of boots with you guys and I love them , I will never buy another brand of work boot , your boot are as tough as I am hard on them. They are the most comfortable and short break in time of any work boots I’ve ever worn. I bout this pair to wear in the summer when I’m working in shorts. My 1st pair is almost 2 years old and with me for a pair of work boots to last over 8 months is amazing .

Excellent boot. I use it for trips to industrial sites and for motorcycle riding. Relatively easy on, very comfortable and sturdy. I like that it doesn't have a heel, but has a "wedge" sole. As a bonus it looks good.

Quite possibly the best footwear I've ever owned. I have a terrible time finding a shoe or hiking boot that agrees with my feet. The quality is excellent, and far more comfortable than I would have expected. These would be worth twice the price.
